Ministry Teams

As you can see from our Core Purposes, SHBC is devoted to accomplishing all God has put forth according to His Word.  In order to do this most effectively, we have created a Church Council of representatives from each major purpose of the church.  Church members are encouraged to match their spiritual gifts, talents, and abilities with an area of our church's ministry for which they feel called and are passionate about.  In order for you to learn more about what each purpose group does, click on the links below, and prayerfully consider how you might be involved.  When you are finished, take time to view the Commitment Form.  You can print off a copy and bring it with you to a service, or you can email your response to the secretary.
 
 
SHBC Positions of Service and Ministry
 
  • The following paragraphs concisely describe our Administrative Teams as well as our ministries, conveniently categorized under their respective Church Council Purpose Teams. More may be involved as you creatively work with others and expand your ministry.
  • You will be willing to meet with your respective Church Council Purpose Team on a quarterly basis, as well as with others who serve on your specific ministry team.  
  • Leaders of these teams and ministries will be expected to submit a budget request form toward the end of summer, as well as you or someone in your ministry area sharing with the congregation at regular business meetings the happenings of your ministry or program. 
  • We invite anyone ages 12 and above to serve on ministry and administrative teams; however, all volunteers must make every effort to attend their assigned meetings and contribute in those meetings. Parents should monitor their youth’s decision to serve and help them determine their ability to serve.
